Alba Botanica™ Hawaiian Body Polish Smoothing Sugar Cane -- 10 oz
I wasn't sure what to expect but decided to order this after reading all of the positive reviews here. I have tried it twice now and am glad I went for it. Its a bit different from most scrubs I have tried as the sugar is suspended in a gel-like oil base similar to Vaseline, almost, instead of a liquid oil base. Most scrubs require a bit of mixing around but this does not. I like the gel base because its easier to scoop out and apply to the skin without worrying about it sliding off before you are done scrubbing. The smell is slightly sweet and very neutral which is great so I don't have to worry about fragrances mixing. The sugar particles are medium to fine grit so its not too harsh but still exfoliates the skin. I took off one star because the sugar does dissolve rather quickly. I always use a scrub before my body wash so I can't attest to how it leaves the skin post-shower after a rinse and towel dry. This is a great scrub overall, especially for the price!

Good Stuff Here!
I usually make my own, but when I don't, I love to use Alba'so scrub. I use it after I'm finished with all bathing routines, right at the end to get all the benefit of the last scrub, & the oils. Again, I love all of Alba's products.

Not my favorite
I did not like this product. It did not exfoliate well for me and left my skin feeling sticky not moisturized. I've used better scrubs from Vitacost. This is not one I'd use again. I'd send it back except for the cost.

Not the best
I am not real pleased with this product. I don't like how it goes on, I feel that I have to use a lot of water to get it to rub on and I am not real impressed with how my skin feels after, it is not as soft as I would have expected. It does smell nice enough. I guess Alba products do not work as well for me as they do others.

I wanted to like this scrub, as I'm an Alba fan, and liked the sea salt scrub; however, it was just average to me. I liked that its gel-like consistency made for a cleaner scrub (less on the shower floor!), and that it was a decent exfoliant. I didn't really care for the overly-sweet smell, though,or the sticky texture, and my skin didn't feel as soft and clean afterwards as some of the other scrubs I've tried. It definitely works in a pinch, and I'm glad I tried it, but I probably won't be getting it again.
