Like some of the other reviewers, I too found this body wash a bit drying and the fragrance to be a little off, which was surprising because I really like Avalon's other body washes (i.e. lavender). The grapefruit fragrance reminded me more of the rind of a grapefruit (bitter/sour notes) rather than the sweet, juicy scent you'd expect, and the geranium scent in combination creates a more herbal fragrance that you might find in some kind of bathroom or countertop spray cleaner. It lathers well, and a little goes a long way when using a bath pouf, but I would recommend smelling the fragrance at a store first if you can, before purchasing it here. March 5, 2013

Smells like fresh Ruby Red grapefruit! We love all the Avalon Organics Bath and Shower gels. This is the first time we tried this scent, and absolutely LOVE it! It's like cutting open a fresh grapefruit, which is such an uplifting scent. Love all the good-for-you ingredients too. Lathers nicely, leaves skin feeling fresh and clean. April 29, 2011

I love the smell, but it seems a bit drying to my skin. I think I will need to switch to a hydrating wash. Lathers very well for an organic wash though. This will be my summertime wash. October 25, 2010

Distinct unusual fragrance. This is one of those fragrances that is kind of strong and some will love it and others may find it offensive. I am neutral about the fragrance and neither love or hate it but I am not sure that it is one I would like enough to buy again. The ingredients in all Avalon lotions are excellent and this is a very good light moisturizer as they all are. March 31, 2010

Apply to damp skin in bath or shower and gently massage into a moisturizing lather. Rinse clean. For a refreshing and uplifting bath soak, pour ½ ounce under warm running water.
