Works well without the chemicals!
I'm on my second tube of this sunscreen. I bought two years ago, and it was rancid this year, since it is based on natural oils (olive and jojoba). It is not oily, but it IS a bit thick and sticky, but that is an acceptable trade-off to replace the chemical sunscreens that absorb into your skin. So far I have not had to to reapply when out in the sun. Also, the EWG rates it a 2, very low, and that is partly based on the *lavender*! (Who knew lavender could be problematic?) My only real complaint was that VC sent me a tube with only two months to the expiration date crimped on the end of the tube. I refused a refund, since I should use it in two months, and I can't hold that incident against the product! I plan to continue to use it.

Thick, but works well and is worth it to know I am not rubbing horrible chemicals into my skin.

I was looking for a sunscreen that wouldn't sting my eyes, and this one is it! It smells like lavender too. My only probably is it looks greasy, maybe I'm spoiled by the dry touch sunscreen but I don't like to look shiny and greasy and no amount of powder soaks it up. As a body lotion it is great - and I just wear this around my eyes a little if I have to be out and about.
