Love all the organic spices Vitacost offers :)
My only star deduction is because it's in a plastic jar. My Frontier spices I get from Vitacost so far have all been glass jars- I think this is the only Badia one I've ordered. But it is organic. Bought this to make a special tea blend out of. Take 1 cardamom pod, a sprinkle of anise seeds, and 3 or 4 cloves and blend in spice blender. Put that mixture in a mesh tea ball thing (I don't know what they're called). Then put the ball, 1 green tea bag, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and some shredded coconut in a mug and pour boiling water over and brew. OMG. So yummy. Best tea ever--worth the effort.

GREAT PRICE CARDAMOM !
I use cardamom alot in baking and in curries but find it rather expensive here in N.Z , so was very pleased to find this on VITACOST at a great price.
For real indulgence try a white hot chocolate with dry roasted cardamon seeds and orange flower water. To die for!
I dry roast a few cardamon seeds in a fry pan and have on hand to use in hot chocolate ( take care not too scotch the seeds)
Heat your milk and add 2 cardamon seeds per serving ( leave the seeds in the milk when you pour your hot chocolate, so the aromatic seeds continue to flavour the milk. Add organic white chocolate to your cup and a capful of orange flower water.

Very good. These are whole though!
I didn't pay too much attention when I ordered nor did know how cardamom looked. Apparently it comes in a pod and you have to open it to get the seeds out. No big deal at all. It's like getting out a clove of garlic. When I buy again I will buy it already peeled though.
