Bellino Pesto Sauce -- 6.8 oz
Extremely bitter and inedible!
When I decided to buy this there were two reviews, one saying it was good and the other horribly bitter. I decided to buy it and try it for myself and I also found it to be extremely bitter, the most bitter food I have ever tried to eat. I thought maybe stirring it thoroughly would help but it didn't. I found it inedible as well and threw it away. It literally took hours to get that taste out of my mouth. I agree that with the other reviewer. This is horrible!

I bought this and I really liked it. I've tried a lot of types and it is medium consistency with good flavor. I purchased twice so far..

Nasty! Left a bitter taste in my mouth!
Tried this product for the first time today. It tastes terrible.
Very bitter. I used the pesto sauce to make a cold pasta
salad. The result was terrible. I Had to throw it out.
Still can't get rid of the terrible taste in my mouth.
Something is VERY WRONG with this product.
Save your money. Buy something else.

I’ve tried other store bought pesto sauces but none has ever come close to what I’ve prepared from scratch – until now.
I’ve put this sauce on pasta and even added a bit to my homemade beef vegetable soup (after the soup was cooked). It was delicious. Both dishes tasted like they were prepared with fresh basil.
What I would suggest is after the pasta is cooked, retain a little of the water before draining it off. Once the pasta has been drained, add a few tablespoons of pesto sauce to it and toss (2 to 3 tbsps. per pound of pasta). Then add the pasta water, one tablespoon at a time and continue tossing. Don’t add too much water; just enough so that the sauce spreads and coats the pasta smoothly and evenly.
It’s quick and easy as well as delicious. If you add a piece of garlic bread and a salad, you’ve got a complete meal that is satisfying and inexpensive.
