For its value in intestinal hygiene, as a source of milk sugar (lactose), to aid in the growth of the friendly (acidophilus) organisms and to combat the putrefactive colon bacteria HEALTH-A-WHEY should be consumed generously. Some people need as much as two heaping tablespoonfuls 4 times a day in liquid. If such large amounts disagree, decrease to smaller and fewer portions increasing later as necessary until odor of intestinal food decomposition (putrefaction) diminishes. WHEY is a useful article in the daily diet and is an excellent food with which to enhance the value of sour milks and acidophilus cultures.
To make liquid whey, a nutritive drink abundant in minerals and protein, add two heaping tablespoonfuls to a cup of hot or cold water or juice.
