Biochem Sports Vegan Protein Vanilla -- 12 Servings
Best ready to drink vegan protein
If you are looking for the best tasting shake you've ever had, that you would drink even if it had 100g of fat and no protein, this is not it.
If you are looking for the best tasting ready to drink vegan protein with NO sugar and NO artifical sweeteners, this is definitely it.

Flavor okay, but gritty
The ingredients are great and the flavor is good but it just doesn't disolve that well. If you can get past the grittyness, it's okay.

Great For Mixing In Smoothies & Juice!
I love this protein powder. It's made from hemp, pea and cranberry proteins, and contains a list of amino acids and vitamins. The taste on it's own is bland and somewhat cardboard, but it mixes well with juices and smoothies, which is how I use it. My picky husband even drinks it without complaining. The serving size is 2 scoops for 20g of protein, and I typically mix one scoop with 4-6 oz juice and top off with sparkling water. Other vitamin and/or vegetable powders also mix well into this concoction, and I've even baked with it by thrown it in to breakfast muffin and pancake batters with ease! I also like this protein powder because it has never made me gassy like whey or soy protein powders can. It is a staple supply in my house.

my poor choice
This protein drink tastes TERRIBLE! I was hoping, and made the mistake of assuming, that it would be as tasty and palatable as the vanilla protein drink, also by Biochem, that I had used for years but which was discontinued, so I ordered way too many cans, alll of which will go into the garbage.
Frankly, I'm amazed that such a sickening-tasting product passed whatever quality control protocol Biochem has in place and that similar reports as mine have not flooded their management team.

So bad I returned this
**This review is based on taste alone and not how it affected my workouts or recovery as I only consumed 1 serving.**
-- This stuff tasted SO bad to me that I actually returned it -- the ONLY thing I have ever returned to Vitacost in over 8 years of buying from them.
-- I can't even explain how WRONG this smell and tastes. It doesn't taste ANYTHING like vanilla. I can detect the licorice extract in this, and I think that's what throws the flavor off. As a whole, it tastes very FAKE and almost PLASTIC-Y.
-- The texture/consistency is true to pea protein, oddly slimy.
-- Taste is subjective, obviously; if you're a fan of brown rice protein powder, avoid this. This tastes so UNfood-like, though, I find it hard to believe that even pea protein enthusiasts would be able to choke this down.
