Bob's Red Mill All Natural Potato Starch Unmodified Gluten Free -- 24 oz
When baking gluten free, potato starch is one of my staple flours to use. Without it, not sure what I would do. We have created and changed recipes to where they're "good" by using potato starch and changing up the recipe a little.

works every time
All Bob's Red Mill are consistent and completely satisfactory. I am learning ALOT about gluten free baking and selling them at the local Farmers Market with GREAT results. Yeah!

variety of uses
I bought this product after reading about "resistant starches" and their positive impact on gut flora. Haven't seen any results yet, as many have, from ingesting it daily.
I also use this to make a starch spray for ironing.
And I know it can be a thickening agent in cooking as well.

Bob's Red Mill Potato Starch found online only
I searched my local stores and could not find Bob's Red Mill Potato Starch. I found the potato starch online only. Vitacost had the only great value when I needed more potato starch.
I have been gluten free and dairy free for over two years. I use potato starch for gravies, coating chicken for frying, making sweet and sour sauce, and in baking.
Bob's Red Mill Potato starch is the only brand I found that is of consistently good quality.

Great secret ingredient for krispy fried chicken!
For those of you who enjoy the extra crispy fried chicken, this ingredient is a must. Mix equal parts of this potato starch and flour for your fried chicken batter and you shall see amazing results - very crunchy and delicious. Oh, there is a second tip - fry the chicken twice, as they do in Korea - first fry it for a few minutes, take them out and let them rest for a few minutes then re-fry them for another few minutes until golden brown. Enjoy.
