Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Cake Mix Vanilla -- 19 oz
too sweet - funny texture
I wanted a basic cake mix and this was okay. I found it to be too sweet for my taste and the texture was grainy.
Don't get me wrong, I ate it all. I used it in chunks under a pile of berries and whipped cream. I did get used to the texture and it was good at sopping up the cream.
But I will continue my search for a less sweet cake.

I used the cake mix to make a Great banana bread that my family will eat. I am unable to purchase white gluten free cake mix in our area. I also make gluten free cup cakes that can be used for shortcake.

Excellent gluten free product
All the items in this brand line are great. Haven't found one I did not like and I am very picky!

Better than non gluten free cake mix!
We used this mix to make a theme cake for our 2 year old's birthday (since my husband is gluten intolerant). I added 2 tsp. of pure vanilla for a little more flavor and the cake baked very well, and was easy to handle and decorate. We did grease, line the bottom with wax paper, and greased again just as the directions called for, and the cake did not stick at all. We will use this for all of our cakes in the future. You can change the flavor by adding 1/2 cup cocoa powder if you want a chocolate cake.

This mix is excellent and very versatile-a welcome product for those of us with dietary limitations.
