Bob's Red Mill Grande Whole Grains Description
This special blend of flavorful whole grain kernels is a good source of dietary fiber and nutrition. This blend makes an excellent hot cereal, a refreshing salad or a beautiful and toothsome pilaf side dish. Grande Whole Grains is made from only the very finest whole grain wheat, brown rice, oats, rye, triticale, barley, Kamut® berries, buckwheat and sesame seeds.
Use Grande Whole Grains as a cereal for breakfast using apple juice as liquid. For lunch use as a pilaf in salads, soups, and pita bread. For dinner use as a stir-fry with vegetables or as a side dish instead of rice or pasta.
Basic Cooking Instructions:
1 cup Grande Whole Grains Cereal/Salad/Pilaf
2½ cups Water or Broth or Juice
Place 1 cup Grande Whole Grains and 2½ cups water in a medium-sized pan. Bring the water to a boil, cover and lower heat to a simmer. Cook for 1 hour, or until liquid is absorbed. makes 4 servings.
Try it for breakfast using apple juice for a liquid. Can be eaten hot or cold with a fresh fruit topping.
Try it for lunch for use in salads, soups or in pita bread.
Try it for dinner as a pilaf or stir-fry with vegetables. Use as a side dish instead of rice or pasta.
Keeps best refrigerated or frozen.
