Bob's Red Mill Light Bulgur (ALA) Soft Wheat -- 28 oz
Excellent choice for grain salads
Now that I have found this bulgur wheat, it is my go-to product for tabouli and other wheat salads. I make them frequently now. The taste of this bulgur is delicious. Just soak the grain in boiling water for about 20-30 minutes and then add whatever chopped veggies, herbs, and seasonings you want. I often use lemon juice and the chopped fresh salsa from the grocery store refrigerator section. No oil necessary for a great grain salad.

I'm Sold on Bob's Red Mill Light Bulgur Wheat!
I love white rice, and brown rice is okay. However, I recently read that bulgur wheat is high in fiber and protein and also low in fat and calories and is another food that offers bulk and nutrients to fill you up without adding pounds. A cup of bulgur has fewer calories, less fat, and more than twice the fiber of brown rice.
I tried Bob's Red Mill bulgur last week and cooked it in some chicken broth, which was how I usually cooked white and brown rice. It cooked in less than the usual 20 minutes that white rice cooks, and it tasted great and had a sort of neat crunch to it. It was simply delicious -- and good for me! Now I'm going to try to get my husband (who likes instant mashed potatoes with every meal) to try it . . .

a great poduct at a great price
This is the best bulger I have ever used - tastes great, cooks up quick and easy, goes wonderfully in all my recipes
