Too finely ground
Soaked it in yogurt but the texture is more like a paste with no bite to it. So I decided to sift the 2 bags that I ordered and got almost 1 bag of oat flour! I could use the flour for baking but that's not what I ordered. I wanted oatmeal! Going back to old fashion / steel cut oats - at least that has more texture.

GREAT taste!
Was looking for a replacement for my GMO steel cut oats...and I've found it!

So flavorful . . . I'm hooked!
I thought I would try a different oatmeal and I'm so hooked on this oatmeal. It tastes so good that I have been eating it everyday. One of my favorite recipes is: 1/3 cup cooked oatmeal, 6 fresh strawberries, 1/2 cup yogurt, pinch of kosher salt, & 1/4 cup of Almond milk . . . yummy, nutritious, and quick. You can cook oatmeal in your rice cooker or steamer for ease. After I eat all my other oatmeal choices, I will be purchasing again and again.

Awesome product
Bob's Red Mill Organic Scottish Oatmeal has such a wonderful porridge like texture. I prefer it to steel cut oats and I believe there are many health benefits from the oats being stone ground verses rolled with steel rollers that heat up and damage precious oils. Bottom line though, it taste wonderful. We ferment ours overnight with a little whey from yogurt or with yogurt itself for a delicious nourishing breakfast.
