Found out we like this type of oats
I like to buy Bob's because it's an employee owned company and they have really great products, just wasn't sure if we'd like this type of oats. If you make it by their directions, it's great, just takes a bit longer.

Excellent texture and Taste!
I always purchased Old Fashioned Rolled Oats. I decided to try steel cut oats and chose Bob's Red Mill Organic Steel Cut Oats! I am so happy I did! I shared the 2 pack with my daughter and her 2 year old loves it, too! Highly recommend!

Would be a 5 star if they were gluten free
Now I know Bob's Red Mill has gluten free oats and that is what I should have ordered. These oats are not flat like oats from Quaker oats. These are like hard grain that open up as you cook them. The steel cut oats I bought in the store were large and flat. These are excellent for oatmeal.

Great granola
I use this in my granola recipe and it is fantastic...toasts up really nicely.

Golden Spurtle Award!
Bob's is the best! I did not appreciate how good untill I bought another brand that was slimy and full of chaff. Bob's is nutty, chewy, full of body without being slimy, maintains individual, cut pieces and NO chaff. No wonder they won the Golden Spurtle award!
