Carefully selected from the finest rice crops of California, Bob's Red Mill Short Grain Brown Rice makes a wholesome and delicious addition to your table. Brown Rice is low fat and a good source of dietary fiber and protein.
Basic Cooking Instructions:
1 cup Short Grain Brown Rice
2½ cups Water
1 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Butter or Oil
Combine ingredients in sauce pan with tight-fitting cover. Bring to a boil over high heat, stir once or twice, cover. Reduce heat and simmer 45-55 minutes until tender. Brown rice will have a crunchy texture because the bran remains firm.
Keeps best refrigerated or frozen.
