Nice change! This brown rice does have a sweetness to it and is stickier, but a very nice change from plain brown rice. October 10, 2012

i am just starting the whole eating natural and some organic foods wow the rice is awesome i can what til cook chicken with it i made it and ate as is sweet,soft not grittie. love the flavor it taste like plain oat meal to me.i will be buying this for sure again . August 13, 2012

Bob's Red Mill Sweet Brown Rice is a short grain variety that has a mildly sweet flavor, which is slightly stronger than other rice varieties. It has a sticky texture that makes it perfect for use in many Asian recipes, as well as desserts such as rice pudding.

Basic Cooking Instructions

1 cup Bob's Red Mill Sweet Brown Rice

1 Tbsp Butter

2 cups Water or Stock

¼ tsp Salt

Place all ingredients in a 2 quart pot with a tight-fitting lid. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer on low boil for 45 minutes. Do not remove lid. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Sweet rice is very sticky and lends itself well to dessert recipes. A rice cooker may be used with the same rice-to-water ratio. Makes 3 cups. Sweet Brown Rice has only the husk removed to insure full flavor and nutrition.

Keeps best refrigerated or frozen.
