I have used this product only once since I got it. I put it in a soup broth to thicken it up and add some extra protein as the soup was a little skimpy on meat. It worked great, took on the flavor of the broth. Will be careful how much I use of it as it is made of soy.

I recently purchased Bobs Red Mill TVP for the first time. I wasn't sure what to expect, but followed other reviewers comments and mixed it into my chili and added less beef.... it was fantastic and my family had no idea. It seems very versatile and easy to mix into recipes.

Love this stuff. Works great to bulk up spaghetti sauce, used in tacos or chili. I used it with lots of finely chopped veggies in san choy bow. Great source of protein.

I began using TVP a year or so ago. It is great for subbing for ground beef in recipes and very easy to use. Depending on what I make, I substitute TVP for all or at least half of the ground beef called for. It has the same texture as ground beef and not much of a taste on it's own, so it works really well in recipes. It's very inexpensive, so I use less beef and save $$! How do I know this is a good product? Because I never told my husband or sons that it's in a dish they're eating and they have yet to notice. And they usually notice right off if something is different. (Note: one thing I tried that didn't work well for me - veggie burgers. Not very tasty)

Not too bad!
Very similar to store bought "beef substitutes" in texture, tastes like whatever you cook it in. It is a very convenient vegetarian protein options.
