Celebration Herbals Sweet Organic Black Tea Description
This is a revisit on traditional American Sweet Tea. It is smooth, refined, and has all the characteristics you would expect of your southern favorite without the added sugar. To create this classic flavor, we have add the naturally sweet South African herb Honeybush and a twist of Lemongrass for a balanced finish. We hope you enjoy this unique blend on both hot summer days, and cool winter evenings.
Ceylon Black tea comes from the island country of Sri Lanka, off the tip of India. This tea is characterized by a mild to medium strength flavor with a smooth finish. Ceylon tea is one of the most popular black teas on the market today and is a staple flavor of many large tea companies.
With the flavor of honey and apricots, Honeybush acts as a wonderful natural sweetener. Honeybush, and its better know cousin Rooibos, have been gaining popularity in North America in recent years and taste great on their own, or as an addition to many herbal or traditional tea blends. Both are enjoyed as common caffeine-free alternatives to green and black teas in South Africa.
Good water is an essential part of brewing a great cup of tea. We recommend using spring or filtered water.
Rinse your teapot and cup with hot water immediately before brewing your tea. By keeping the water temperature high while steeping, more of the subtle aspects of your tea will be extracted from the tea leaves. Also, your tea will brew more quickly and stay hot longer.
Water temperature is critical. For this tea, we recommend heating your water until it is vigorously boiling, then letting it cool slightly before pouring over the teabag(s).
Use one teabag per cup of tea desired. Pour hot water over teabags, cover and steep, peeking & stirring occasionally. Optimal brewing time is about 4 minutes, depending on how strong you enjoy your tea.
As a tea cools, you will notice that its taste changes dramatically. Be sure to experiment and you may find more character in a specific tea than you ever imagined.
