Cumbersome to use and weird aftertaste I love coconut in general so when I tried this flour I was excited to taste it. The texture was not as fine as I had hoped a little bit grainy. It was difficult to work with which I quickly figured out. I tried to make paleo bread I with it and I was surprised by the after taste. It had a weird taste like...almost artificial or something I cannot describe as if they ground up part of the out parts with the coconut. I ended up throwing that bread away and tried paleo tortillas but I added seasoning to mask the flavor. They turned ok considering it was my first time. I'm still learning how to use it. I found that putting ground ginger for savory or sweet breads alone in the flour helps to mask that weird aftertaste. I really wanted to love it but I guess I still have to keep trying. ehhh..... Maybe I need to try this one again? I like coconut EVERYTHING and have experienced with MOST flours, but this one was very difficult for me to work with? VERY SILKY and the texture was hard to work with? I would say it's not an easy swap for baking from whole oats. GOOD LUCK! April 4, 2013

Coconut Secret Coconut Flour I gave this as a gift and the person who received it LOVES it! I have many friends that also use this brand of coconut flour and it is one of their favorites. Great in recipies. So good for you!! Love to use this in recipies. I make maple scones from scratch and can taste the coconut flavor! So yummy. Must remember that coconut flour is very absorbant. Use only 1/4 cup to 1 cup regular flour. I figured that out the hard way. That said, a 16oz container of this goes along way. March 16, 2013

Recipe Tips
