This floss is plastic and petroleum based. If you need a similar but quality floss try "smart floss". vitacost sells it here. Its expensive but made from health containing ingredients as opposed to BPA plastics and petroleum waxes. I know, because I used to only use Glide until I found out how it and most dental floss is made.

Great product
Easy to use, does not get caught between teeth, does not shred. Since I started using Glide products I have no desire to try any other flossing product because this one is so good.
