To make EDEN Bifun Pasta white rice is first cleaned, ground to a fine powder, and blended with water to form a dough. The dough is kneaded and steamed, forming a dumpling-like dough. The steamed dough is then extruded to form noodles and cut to the appropriate length. The noodles are then allowed to settle, a process called aging. After aging the bifun noodles are steamed. Next, the steamed noodles are washed in cold water, then air dried and packaged. No additives or preservatives.
EDEN Bifun Pasta is low in fat, saturated fat and cholesterol free, and low in sodium without salt added. It is a good source of protein. Made without wheat, it is wheat and gluten free.
Use EDEN Bifun like other pasta or in traditional one pot Japanese dishes such as Nabe and Sukiyaki. They are often used to make Asian sweet and sour, and hot and sour soups. Delicious in a broth seasoned with EDEN Shoyu Soy Sauce, EDEN Kombu Sea Vegetable and EDEN Shiitake and Maitake Mushrooms. They're ideal for a wide variety of soups, stir fries, and salads. They can be deep fried to make crispy chow mein noodles. Simply cooked and garnished with chopped scallion and EDEN Shoyu Soy Sauce, makes a delicious snack anytime.
