I finally had to give up my white spelt bread as my allergies said enough already. Luckily I discovered they made brown rice bread. It has more flavor than the white rice and it toasts up nicely. I even eat it plain.

Good overall, Needs Better Taste/Texture
The 3 pack and 1 year shelf life are great! This one was a bit pasty possibly due to the tapioca and potato flours. I prefer rice flour only breads. Will buy again. Vitacost needs to improve the description and ingredient labeling of this and other Ener-G breads...a few products have the same name but different colored labels and we could not figure out the difference.

Good substitute
I bought this bread because not only it's GF and dairy free, but also it's yeast free. I am starting a candida cleanse diet and this type of bread would be allowed because it does not contain yeast. It's not very flavorful and it really does not taste like bread, but it's not suppose to. It's a great substitute of a bread, that when toasted will satisfy the craving. I love to spread fresh avocado on the toast with a slice of tomato and salt/pepper to taste. It will do the job. It is worth trying if you have to avoid all allergens.

We like it! (Key: you need to TOAST IT!)
Both my husband and my son are gluten-free AND yeast-free... a difficult combination. There are plenty of gluten-free breads out there, but almost none that are yeast-free. Finding this Ener-G brown rice yeast-free bread has helped satisfy their bread cravings. Certainly, it's not going to be just like regular bread -- but it's the closest we've found, and it tastes good! My son ate four toasted slices with peanut butter for lunch yesterday! The key is, you need to toast it.
