Ener-G Xanthan Gum -- 6 oz
I've found that this brand does not compare to more premium quality xanthan gums. I've used several different brands ranging in price. Ener-G does thicken liquids but you have to double your quantity. For gluten free baking (my primary use) I would recommend spending the few extra dollars on premium quality gums or you'll be left with a crumbly mess. I've tried adding more but had unfavorable results. That being said, Ener-G egg replacer is my favorite brand, it just didn't pan out with the gum.

This stuff can be very expensive but this is a great deal for the amount you get.

Being that I have never used any other xanthan gum, I cannot really comment on the effectiveness. My baked goods were pretty crumbly even with the gum. This is by far the best price I have seen on any xanthan gum, though.
