Fisherman’s Friend® Sugar Free Mint lozenges are gluten-free and contain no genetically modified organisms. Lozenges are cholesterol and sugar free. The product is suitable for coeliacs and vegans and is Kosher and Halal approved. Sugar Free Mint lozenges have a shelf life of two years. Please refer to the package for expiration date.

Our Sugar Free range of products are based on a substance called sorbitol which is officially described as a polyhydric alcohol or polyol. However, for nutritional information purposes, it is classed as a carbohydrate. It is suitable for use in diabetic products, as its metabolism requires a low insulin demand as it is largely metabolised via fructose and not glucose. You will also find that the majority of sugar free products also substitute sorbitol or one of the other polyols for sugar (e.g. xylitol, erythritol). The carbohydrate content of 'sucrose free' flavors is 98.4% but this is in the form of sorbitol rather than sugar. More importantly from a diabetic point of view is that the sugar content is nil.
