Certified Organic Cold Pressed And Unrefined. The tiny seeds of sesame have been known as a source of food oil for over 4000 years in many Asian countries. Unfortunately in industrialized counties Sesame Oil is mostly produced in vast quantities in what is called a chemical extraction method using hexane bleaching refining and deodorizing which results in a bland and tasteless oil. In contrast Flora Sesame Oil is a truly cold-pressed oil pressed at temperatures below 45°C. Sesame seeds contain the natural preservatives known as sesamol and sasamolin. When refrigerated Flora Sesame Oil will partially solidify which shows that it has a high percentage of monounsaturated and saturated fatty acids. This makes Sesame Oil more stable with a longer shelf life. Certified Organic by QAI.

"I purchased this sesame seed oil because of its natural quality. I use this oil mostly for oil pulling for health reasons & I have not been disappointed! This product is great for the stated reason. I have not used this product yet for cooking, but plan to do so in the future for stir frying."

"I used this for popping popcorn and sauteing food and the house got smoky real quick I quess because of the heating properties. I did read it is good for oil pulling but I haven't tried that yet. I'm not sure if I taste a taste at all but it is lighter than most cooking oils which a plus."

"I have used sesame oil for quite some time and of all the different brands, I like the Flora Certified Organic kind best of all. It's very mild, so I can use it for medicinal purposes. I mix it with a few drops of oregano oil for sinus and ear problems."
