Frontera Green Chile Enchilada Sauce Medium -- 8 fl oz
Excellent and has so many uses!
I've been using Rick Bayliss's Frontera sauces and marinades for several years and have found them to be tasty and versatile, but this green enchilada sauce is probably my favorite.
Although this lists cilantro as one of the ingredients, still give it a try even if you hate the stuff, as I do. I was leery at first, but the cilantro, being cooked, looses some of it's punch, and doesn't "offend" my taste buds at all. ;)
It's excellent with enchiladas, but I also use it for braising chicken to be used in tacos or sandwiches. The sauce makes an excellent green posole. I also mix it with broth (1-2 Tbsp to a pint of broth) for a zesty clear soup to which I can add shredded chicken or grated veggies, sliced green onions, a squeeze of lime. Really, it's totally up to the cook's tastes, but that soup will be ready in minutes using just leftovers. Serve it over a scoop of rice for a full, satisfying and healthful lunch.
I like that there are no preservatives in Frontera products, which is why I gave them a try the first time I saw them. Just an excellent line of products.

This sauce has the most authentic taste of any prepared green enchilada sauce I have ever had. It is absolutely delicious. I do LOVE Vitacost for offering so many wonderful products.
