Mmmmm...banana!
I don't eat fruit so the "real" thing is not an option - I was glad to find this natural banana flavor to add to my protein pancakes, crepes, and bars. The smell is pretty overwhelming - kind of chemically - but a little goes a long way. The flavor in prepared goods is subtle and mild and I'm very pleased to find this *pretty close* substitute to the real thing.
Two comments:
!. It is based in canola oil, so beware if that sort of thing doesn't fit in w/ your diet. You're only using 1/2-1 tsp. at a time so the calories don't add up to much.
2. It comes in a standard "extract" type bottle - I use a dropper that I had from another supplement in order to make it less messy than pouring it from a little opening - remember it's oil-based and gets drippy.

So glad I found this product again
The Frontier brand of pure natural flavorings is by far the best I have ever used. I was surfing VitaCost.com one day and found them. I couldn't find them in my local stores anymore. Thank you, VitaCost for stocking these on a regular basis.
