Not that cheesy I heard that this yeast has a cheese like flavor. Well maybe a little but it adds a little extra flavor to foods. I don't like eating it alone when I sprinkled in my hand. March 21, 2013

Quality appears very good These nutritional yeast flakes are well-sealed and very fresh when you get them. They seem as good as any that I've bought at any health food store or in bulk at any suprmarket. I think there may be an advantage here in the fact that these could be fresher than what you buy in bulk at a supermarket. In bulk, they are exposed in bins. November 17, 2012

Non-Irradiated

This is a primary grown nutritional yeast from pure strains of Saccharomyes cerevisiae grown on mixtures of cane and beet molasses. After the fermentation process is completed the yeast is harvested, thoroughly washed, pasteurized and dried on roller drum dryers. The B vitamins are both naturally produced during fermentation, and added to the cream prior to the drying process. Riboflavin (B2) and Cyanocobalamin (B12) are created during fermentation. Additional Riboflavin (B2) and Cyanocobalamin (B12) are added after fermentation along with Thiamine (B1), Pyridoxine HCL (B6), Niacin and Folic Acid.
