Awesome product I bought this product because I read about it in a recipe for Pizza Hummus as a replacement for cheese. If I were to be honest, alone it does not taste like a replacement for cheese. But when used in a recipe it does impart a delicious flavor similar to cheese. I am looking forward to trying it on popcorn, as I have read that is also delicious. I only wish this product came in a resealable bag to keep the remainder fresh. But I remedied that by using an old parm cheese shaker. Overall i am very satisfied with the product. May 7, 2013

Excellent quality This nutritional yeast has an outstanding flavor and is very versatile from popcorn to pasta to vegan cheese. It's almost addictive and a great way to get B vitamins into your diet. April 18, 2013

Not that cheesy I heard that this yeast has a cheese like flavor. Well maybe a little but it adds a little extra flavor to foods. I don't like eating it alone when I sprinkled in my hand. March 21, 2013

Noochhh I may or may not be addicted to nutritional yeast, I've had this bag just under a month and it's already empty :p all your B vitamins with an amazing cheesy taste, i literally put this stuff in everything :) I will definitely be ordering more, best price i've found for the amount of nutritional yeast! thanks vitacost :) January 19, 2013

Non-Irradiated

This is a primary grown nutritional yeast from pure strains of Saccharomyes cerevisiae grown on mixtures of cane and beet molasses. After the fermentation process is completed the yeast is harvested, thoroughly washed, pasteurized and dried on roller drum dryers. The B vitamins are both naturally produced during fermentation, and added to the cream prior to the drying process. Riboflavin (B2) and Cyanocobalamin (B12) are created during fermentation. Additional Riboflavin (B2) and Cyanocobalamin (B12) are added after fermentation along with Thiamine (B1), Pyridoxine HCL (B6), Niacin and Folic Acid.
