Picked long before maturity, our gourmet organic green peppercorns are much less pungent than black peppercorns and have a pleasantly fresh, herbaceous flavor.
A featured spice in pepper steak sauce, green peppercorns are also used in French, Creole, and Thai recipes. They are also excellent on fish and in other sauces. Green peppercorns add an interesting color and a slightly fruity sharpness to foods. Soak the dried peppercorns in hot water for five minutes, then add to meat dishes or salad dressings. Or mash with butter to serve on vegetables.
