Normally a good product.
The bottle I received may be a part of a bad batch. It tastes like 95% alcohol with a slight hint of vanilla. I have been buying this product from multiple sources, including Vitacost as well as my local stores without incident. I'll try again.

my absolute favorite vanilla extract is raw powder - and that's very pricey but goes a long way and is delish! so...when i need something that "will do" i use this :-) - the next best thing.

Favorite Vanilla Extract
I buy all of my spices etc from Frontier because you get what you pay for, clean organic and fair traded spices that enhance the flavor of your food.
This is a wonderful aromatic vanilla extract that adds a subtle hint of vanilla to baked goods. Does not have the artificial smell or taste of other vanillas.

Great Quality, Smooth Vanilla Flavor, Mild Alcohol
Great tasting vanilla - the alcohol feedback is relatively low. Price is a bit high, but the overall quality makes up for it.
