FunFresh Foods Muntol White Pepper Corns Description
Muntok White Pepper (Piper nigrum) is hand picked on the island of Bangka, Indonesia. Red fruit spikes are packed into sacks and soaked in running streams to disintegrate the outermost skin of the pepper. The peppers are piled together for a traditional "pepper dance" which separates the fruit berries from the stems. The peppers are again washed and left to cure in the sun until they become a beautiful white cream color.
Use it with a molar and pestle to provide a coarse grind for brines and dry rubs. White peppercorns can lose their essential oils when ground, so only grind what you need to use.
