Seems to work
It seems to work as a sleep aid. My husband didn't care for it. He thought he was foggy in the morning. I didn't feel that way. I've taken one and sometimes two pills if I'm worried that my brain is too switched on to sleep and then I go to sleep. You can't ask for more than that. And unlike the capsules filled with dried valerian, there's no smell or taste.

insufficiently potent for insomnia with anxiety
I've found valerian root teas to be calming before bedtime, but unfortunately I didn't experience the relief that other reviewers found in this product. I can't even tell when I've taken two capsules, in fact.
If you have serious insomnia or anxiety, psychiatric prescriptions might work better.
On the positive side the product arrived quickly, and I was pleased by the numerous discount offers I received afterward.

This product really works!
I've tried a number of other sleep aids, both natural and synthetic, but Gaia Valerian Root seems to be the best in providing a restful sleep. I like it so much I continue to purchase it (on my 3rd bottle). I take one tablet before bedtime rather than two and that does the trick. Also, I don't feel groggy in the morning.

Works every night
The valerian of yesterday had a smell. Not this one! I take it every night since I've been going through the fabulous menopause. I am soooooo grateful because I was missing my sleep. Not any more!
