It has been a long time since I have had a piece of pie. Now I dont feel so left out . Great taste and backs up just beautiful.

I leave out the vinegar. It's a great crust.

My husband and I loved the flavor of this pie crust! The downside is the amount of butter and shortening in the recipe. The crust is hard to work with too. It helps to make sure it is very cold before rolling it out, and cool it again before removing the plastic wrap.

Can also be dairy-free and egg-free
I make this pie crust with egg replacer and organic palm oil shortening. Use pastry cutter and cold shortening and 2 T. to +1/4 cup more water than recipe calls for. Add a little more sugar and roll out in confect. sugar. Making tarts is easier than trying to handle whole pie crust that's egg-free (can crumble). Love this mix and people rave when they taste tarts. Can't guess it's not regular crust.
