Guayaki (gwy-uh-kee) Yerba Mate (yer-bah mah-tay) is made from the naturally caffeinated and nourishing leaves of the celebrated South American rainforest holly tree (Ilex paraguariensis).

For centuries, South America's Ache Guayaki tribe have sipped yerba mate daily for its powerful rejuvenative effects.

Guayaki's mission is to steward and restore 200,000 acres of South American Atlantic Rainforest and create over 1000 living wage jobs by 2020 by leveraging our Market Driven Restoration Model.

Yerba mate is native to the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. To capture the whole plant energy of the yerba mate tree, Guayaki blends whole leaf, tender stems and leaf powder for a potent infusion with enduring flavor.

Our Traditional Mate is pleasantly rich with a full flavored body, yet surprisingly soft on the palate, and complimented by earthy, and woodsy aromas. Make a superb mate latte by adding choice of milk and sweetener.

Directions

Hot Yerba Mate: Place a yerba mate tea bag in a cup of hot water. Step 5-10 minutes.

Mate latte: Add your favorite milk and sweetener to a cup of brewed yerba mate. Delicious hot or iced .

Iced Mate: Brew a cup of hot mate, then add ice.

Storage: Store your mate in a dry, air tight container or in this package, away from direct heat and light.
