I agree to soft This is a too soft sauerkraut, I bought Eden Organic which is only salt and cabbage in a larger jar for almost the same amount of money and it is fermented by hand. Go with the Eden Brand, It is a crisp clean sauerkraut with no chemicals. September 21, 2014

Just okay I was hoping to find something in taste and texture to Bubbies brand sauerkraut, but this isn't it. The flavor is acceptable, defiantly better than the vinegar based sauerkrauts. I didn't care for the texture, it was kind of soft, I prefer a more crisp sauerkraut. November 27, 2013
Authentic and tasty So glad I found it here, it started disappearing from stores. It's the only sauerkraut I buy. Basic and original recipe - cabbage and salt. Just the way my family used to make it back in Europe. All others have extra ingredients : vinegar, etc. Those are not properly made and not as healthy.
