STRONG smell and taste!
I am not fond of the flavor of the tea; therefore I cannot say if its does what it promotes! I have share this tea with my Mom who has order her very own box and drinks it as the instructions suggesst. I generally mix the tea with my regular sweet tea...having much more ot the regular sweet tea and much less of the Chrysanthemum tea-----very strong in smell and taste!

An acquired taste, but worth the health benefits
The tast is bitter; it's unlike any tea you've ever tasted. But for folks like me who need an immune system boost, or if our nerves are frayed, chrysanthemum tea is the best choice next to ginger, clove, etc.
Thing is, Chrysanthemum tea gets bitter if you let it steep with a lid on or longer than five minutes. Let the tea steep out in the open ; try only 3 minutes at first, then gradually work your way up to four, then five and then two bags if you want. One cup of chrysanthemum (8 oz.) and two teaspoons of raw honey. The honey balances out the bitter taste.
This tea is so very soothing after a long stressful day and/or when you've been out in the elements especially during the change of seasons. Nothing is better after a long day in the changing weather than to sit down and relax with a nice warm cup of chrysanthemum.
