Does the job but leaves hair in sub-par condition. It was great to know that I wasn't putting loads of toxic chemicals on my head in order to cover up all my grey, but my hair has never really felt the same. Its not as soft nor does it ever really feel clean when i shampoo it anymore. Also the colors are a bit flat. I'll be looking for something else. April 18, 2013

This product is wonderful. I have been using Herbatint for 16 years and it is so natural and leaves my hair so silky especially if you use the conditioner that goes with the hair dye kit. I buy the conditioner seperate as I do spot treatments between hair dye sessions. All thier products cover well and are so natural for your hair. Even my 24 yrs old Daughter is using the Herbatint now as she has not had any luck in covering her blonde hair with any other products to date. March 26, 2013

Best boxed haircolor I've used My hair feels great, color is so pretty and it's very soft and shiny! The conditioner that comes with it is excellent, and I am going to buy that now bec. it is sold separately. I am not sure how long this color will lastm or for how long the shininess will last fro because I just did it 6 days ago and have only washed once. Beautiful I love this hair dye company, and this color is perfect for me. I have naturally very dark dark brown hair (some people refer to it as black). This color rocks. I should say, too, that I tried a different Herbatint colot before and it didn't work for me. It was one of the violet colors, and it actually lightened my hair, which is NOT what I wanted, because I got very noticeable roots. So, if at first you don't succeed, try try again! I am so pleased with this color. I get a ridiculous amount of compliments--from the ladies who check me out at the grocery store to my colleagues at work--that's when you know a color is right for you! December 17, 2012

Herbatint® Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel has more conditioning lasting colour with Aloe Vera. No ammonia and no Parabens. 100% grey cover.

Herbatint is the finest, most natural permanent hair colouring gel free of harsh chemicals and Ammonia. Herbatint offers a safe, gentle and effective way to colour your hair and cover grey with just 1 application. Depending on the length of your hair, Herbatint can be used for 1 application or can be saved for a second application when the colour has grown out. Herbatint can be used even if a chemical dye has been used to colour your hair and if your hair has just been permed. It’s easy to use and has no smell!

Herbatint contains herbal extracts to provide nourishment, protection and conditioning to both the hair and scalp, including:

Aloe Vera - rich in vitamins, enzymes, panthenol and natural minerals to protect and nourish the hair while colouring;
Meadowfoam - rich in Vitamins E and F, ensures better colour cover and long lasting colour results;
Witch Hazel - treats the scalp and rich in essential oils;

Use only on dry hair. Using a plastic or a glass container only, combine equal amounts of Herbatint with the glycol developer (included in pack). Make sure the mixture has been thoroughly blended before application. Put on the gloves (included in pack).

For non-treated hair, apply colour mixture onto dry hair, making sure that the hair shaft from root to end is fully covered. Wait for 40 minutes. For previously dyed or permed hair, apply a portion of the mixture on dry roots first, wait 30 minutes and then apply the remaining mixture onto the rest of the hair. Wait an additional 10 minutes.

Rinse out Herbatint mixture thoroughly with water until the rinse water is clear, then wash hair using a natural pH shampoo such as Herbavita Normalising Shampoo. Then apply a natural pH conditioner such as Royal Cream. Wait 5 minutes and rinse again.

Glycol Developer: water, hydrogen peroxide, etidronic acid, wild marjoram extract, thyme extract, cinnamon extract, rosemary extract, lavender extract, golden seal root extract, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, propylene glycol, simethicone. Royal Cream conditioner: water, mallow extracts, rosemary extract, behentrimonium chloride, wheat bran lipids, fragrance.

Warnings

This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary patch test, according to accompanying instructions should be made prior to each application.
This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows. To do so may cause blindness.
Avoid contact with eyes. Should mixture come into contact with eyes, rinse immediately with cool water.

Allergy Test
Wash an area of skin about the size of a dime inside your elbow. Pat dry and apply a few drops of a mixture of HERBATINT® color and Glycol Developer. Leave uncovered and undisturbed for 48 hours. Do not use this product if any burning, itching or abnormal reaction occurs in or around the test area.
