Pet Dophilus® is a probiotic formulation of four species designed specifically for the intestinal health of your pet. Among the dominant intestinal flora of cats and dogs are the Lactobacillus rhamnosus and E. faecium which comprise 80% of the probiotics in Pet Dophilus®. Bifidobacterium longum and B. pseudolongum are also found in the flora of cats and dogs. Pet Dophilus® is in a base of Metabolin® whey protein and Vitamin C. Metabolin® provides key metabolites of propionic acid bacteria and nutritionally supports immune function and supports the action of the live lactic acid bacteria in Pet Dophilus®. Whey protein is a probiotic food that is included to promote the growth of the live bacteria.

"I got this to help rebuild my dogs gut flora after some antibiotic usage. It has helped some with the gas and bloating but not as much as I had hoped. I will continue to use for a while and see if things improve."

To Promote Health In Pets

Pet Dophilus is a probiotic formulation designed to help your pet maintain a balanced intestinal microbial ecosystem in order to promote intestinal health and immune function. In addition to probiotics, Pet Dophilus also contains inulin and Metabolin®. Inulin is a natural fiber that helps promote the growth of the beneficial microorganisms. Metabolin® is a supernatant powder (special blend of ingredients derived from the fermentation of Lactobacillus and Propionibacterium species), and works synergistically with the probiotic bacteria. Each gram (approximately 1/4 teaspoon) contains 1 billion total probiotic bacteria.

Jarrow Formulas Pet Dophilus® Directions

Probiotic supplement for cats and dogs. Mix the following quantity daily into food:

For cats and small dogs: 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 to 1.0 g)
For medium size dogs: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (1.0 to 2.0 g)
For large size dogs: 1/2 to 1 full teaspoon (2.0 to 4.0 g)

Or give as directed by your pet's veterinarian.

Storage Instructions: Does not require refrigeration and best to store in a cool, dry place. Cooler temperatures and refrigeration will extend the shelf life.
