Progesterone production is high during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and low during the follicular phase as well as being low before puberty and after menopause. The hormone progesterone is the natural equivalent of synthetic progestins and is closely related to estrogen. Progesterone is necessary for proper uterine and breast development and function. Progestins are recommended, along with estrogen, during or after menopause to restore hormone balance - especially since research found that prolonged hormone replacement therapy without the addition of progestins increased the risk of endometrial cancer.

Kal Progesterone PM™ Lavender Chamomile Directions
Apply 1/4 tsp. (about the size of a thumbnail) to desired area up to 2 times daily. Do not use for more than 3 weeks out of a month.
Ingredients: Purified water, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, glycerin, stearic acid, progesterone USP, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl glucoside, phenosyethanol, caprylyl glycol, glycine, xanthum gum, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, tocopherol, lecithin, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil, anthemis nobilis (chamomile) flower oil, sodium bicarbonate.
