Kiss My Face Sunscreen Natural Mineral Formula SPF 40 with Hydresia -- 3 fl oz
One of the best mineral sunscreens I've tried
I have tried a lot of mineral sunscreens, trying to find one that scores well on EWG's list (http://www.ewg.org/2013sunscreen/) and that wasn't too sticky, oily, etc. It's true that this will make your skin slightly white, that's because it contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide; and quite frankly, because it's doing its job - providing a barrier between you and the sun. Occasionally I have had to shake the tube first as I have experienced some separation especially if the tube has sat for a while, but overall, for the quality and price (especially on Vitacost), it's a good buy.

The best sunscreen product on the market
EWG gives this sunscreen a super rating. It's not too thick and it goes on pretty easily. No distinct odor and washes off with the use of a washcloth. It certainly does the trick. Our family used it for a recent week at the beach and were protected well - no burning and a nice, even tan resulted. Did not need to reapply as frequently as other sunscreens after getting wet.

best mineral sunscreen I've tried
This is probably the 5th mineral sunscreen I have used since switching away from chemical based sun protection, and it is the best I have found among the similarly-priced mineral products. Some rubbing is needed to blend in the whiteness of the zinc oxide, but it is achievable without any apparent loss of sun protection. The water resistance claim (40 min) seems pretty accurate as well.
The consistency of the product held up in both air conditioned and hot beach environments, with a little kneading/shaking of the tube (to be expected with many natural products).
The container is not sold full, which felt frustrating after my initial purchase, but I find that this sunscreen goes further than other brands because of its spreadability, so the smaller amount lasts quite a while.

I was extremely disappointed in this product. Upon receipt, the 3 oz bottle was only half full. At 11$ a bottle, that is extremely expensive for 1.5 oz. Overall, it was easy to apply, but did not work well. After first day of use, I was burned.

Good ingredients, but consistency not good
When I squeeze some of this product out of the tube, a clear, oily liquid emerges first, followed by the white sunscreen product. At first, I thought it was something at the beginning of the tube that would stop coming out. But I'm half-way through the tube, and that clear oil liquid still comes out first. The product itself is OK: a bit heavy, and it would look very oily on my skin were I not to follow it up with a light coating of sunscreen powder to take off the shine. I have continued to use this product despite the problems because almost all other sunscreens out there are full of nasty endocrine-disrupting chemicals, but Kiss My Face does need to work on the consistency of this product.
