Need to wash your hair every day
I love the conditioner to this product, but this shampoo does not clean my hair well, it will be greasy by the next day.

Kiss My Face in Bulk
Another person in the household uses this product daily - my short-haired, greasy mechanic. Definitely cleans well, and lathers well, and the fresh, slightly citrusy, scent lasts most of his grimey day. I've used it myself between my own shampoo purchases and like the smell and lather. It does seem to over-clean my frizz-prone hair, making it feel stripped. That makes me feel the need to use a conditioner, something I don't buy. I like that KMF offers it in this 'bulk' size - less packaging makes a difference! I think if you're really active (lots of sweat and body oils) or have a somewhat oily scalp, this product would be great!

leaves my hair lank
This shampoo seemed very good the first few times I used it, but after that it left my hair lank and lifeless. I have fine, wavy hair I can normally wash every other day. The conditioner left me a total grease bomb. Tried shampoo with a variety of different conditioners, but no luck. Too bad; great price for decent ingredients. Wish I could get Aubrey for this price.

Good value, very clarifying.
I don't love this shampoo. I've been using it for a year or more, but it almost seems to dry out the hair. It is not greasy or sticky at all--the opposite. It cleans very, very well, but I'm starting to believe it is giving me some dandruff if I use it too frequently. I have conventionally bleached hair that snarls if I use this. It's not exceptional in softening or managing my hair.
As for the lathering question, I have used natural shampoos (starting with Aubrey Organics and Nature's Gate) for years and years and years, so this seems like nothing unusual or out of the ordinary to me. I have used other natural shampoos that were far worse--so un-lathery that they literally just sat on the hair doing really nothing (they did clean, tho, so this may just be an American expectation to want that lather to work evenly throughout the hair without having to apply more of the product each place).
I recently noticed that if I put on the shampoo and then wet the hair under the faucet (without beginning the rinsing out process) that this allows the product to lather and be worked in very well. So the lathering thing is not an issue to me.
I have also used castile soaps (Dr. Bronner's) as shampoo that lathered far, far better than this. I recently used a conventional cheap drugstore brand (I've never used top-dollar salon brands, so I can't compare it to that) that I had on hand, several times, and I didn't think that that lathered fast, either. It was very thick. I grew up on that, so the lathering doesn't seem to be my problem here. I have fine hair, and it's not an issue.
My problem is that this line doesn't make a lot of shampoos to choose from. If one doesn't like the lavender scent, there is nothing left to choose from for daily care. I've used the Miss Treated set, and did not think it did anything for my bleached and color-treated hair. If anything, the regular conditioner seems to work better for me.
I buy this because it cleans well, has very pure ingredients and is chemical-free, does not irritate the skin with rashes, and is a good monetary value on top of all that. However, I am getting sick of it and I think I will seek out a new brand to try soon.
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a natural brand to start using, who has never used any other natural brands. It works very well, compares to conventional brands in performance, and is a good, basic, standard shampoo with a nice, mild scent for the whole family. I wouldn't use it if you're looking for anything fancy or nurturing, or you already struggle with dry or overly clarified hair! I wish the other fragrances/variations came in the 32-oz bottle too. ;)

smells good too!
I have been using this shampoo on my dyed hair for over a year and it makes my hair so clean and manageable, not a matted mess.
