Krinos Imported Tahini Description

Ground Sesame Seeds

Krinos tahini is a thick paste made from crushed sesame seeds. High in protein and other nutrients, it is a flavorful base for appetizers spreads, a topping for pasta or falafel, or an ingredient in soups and salad dressings. Tahini is also ideal for desserts and confections such as halva.

Too watery, too little flavor There is a reason it's rather cheap - you get what you pay for. The flavor is virtually non-existent, it's not a paste, rather predominantly a liquid (diluted with some mediocre oil? Mediocre - because it doesn't have any flavor). I'd rather spend more next time but end up with a decent product. July 13, 2013
My Favorite Tahini I've loved Tahini for 25 or 30 years, and started using it to make hummos or similar dishes when I lived in the Middle East in the 1980's. I've tried different brands, but this is my favorite of all that I've found and tried in the U.S. This is from a Greek company, and I know they also use Tahini in various recipes, but this is also like the best Middle Eastern tahini I've had. I got a bottle of it somewhere, then could never find it again, so I'm hugely pleased to see it available at Vitacost at a reasonable price. Highly recommended, and it really holds up well in the fridge. The only ingredient in this is ground sesame seeds. Lovely! March 10, 2013
Good I bought this even though I usually buy organic because the serving size indicated a higher protein content. I assumed that it must be ground from whole seeds. However, it seems like all other tahinis and I'm wondering how theirs has more protein. Next time I'll buy an organic whole seed tahini I found on line. February 14, 2013
