works great!
This henna worked great on my medium brown hair w/ over 50% gray. I admit at first, I was a little worried because my roots were a greenish tint. But this green washed out after a day or so, and it could have been due to the fact that I did not allow it to cure for 3 hours, only 8 or so minutes. You should let step 1 cure & step 2 cure for the longer amount of time, in my opinion. The end color was a rich brown/red with colored gray roots blending in very well. I added coffee, nutmeg, yogurt, so, my hair just smelled like coffee for a day or so. I also used the hair dryer to apply heat after step 2. I had been using Natural hair coloring kits without ammonia for several years, but this is the first time my hair actually felt healthy instead of dry afterwards. Love that!

Eliminate red roots!
I've used several high quality henna kits that claim to cover gray but most left me with with orange roots. I followed their directions, their tips, their tricks etc. and still I did not get the results that this product delivers. I get nice even color each time I use this product.. No guesswork. Light Mountain does not leave my hair as shiny as the other higher quality henna products did but that is easily solved with follow up conditioning. I do wish Light Mountain used a higher grade of henna but with same formula. Overall very happy with it.

This is the hair dye for me!
I cannot use regular hair dye, as I am allergic to a component of it. I LOVE Light Mountain, as henna is the active ingredient, I believe.

Does the job
This product definitely is messy and takes time, but it works. It gets rid of the grey and lasts a full 6 weeks. I've used the dark brown twice so far and will use it again. It does turn grey hairs to a reddish color. But, the hairs blend in well and I've received many compliments.
