Love the product!
I've been using L.M. natural hair color for a long time now - and I LOVE the product overall! I'm partial to the Burgundy color, and reds.... I have dark-brown hair naturally, and this adds a hint of fun flair to it. This one is more of a deep, dark red. My fave! Does well to cover the few gray hairs beginning to show up as well.

My experiences have been fantastic
I want to extend some apologies to the other reviewer, because she got a bad experience. However, I feel that the bad experience was mainly due to a severe lack of experience in working with henna in the first place.
The instructions included with the package are wrong, for starters. Henna releases its dye when mixed with a mild acid like vinegar, lemon/lime juice, or a mild citric acid solution. Water will not make henna do anything but get soggy. Acid is needed to break down the plant fibers so that the dye can move out of the plant material and into your hair.
Henna should be left on your hair for as long as you can stand it. Unlike peroxide dying, you can leave henna in your hair for hours. In fact, it's probably for the best to leave it in at least 3 hours. Henna deposits a protein film on the hair shaft which protects it from damage. It does not dye the hair, but merely stains it. If you have dark hair, henna will barely show up. If you are blonde, you will become a carrot top. If you are medium-hue like me, you'll get a pretty auburn.
When rinsing out the henna it may in fact look brownish green (if you left it on long enough). You're rinsing out powdered leaves from your hair. I would also keep a bottle of cheap Suave conditioner handy to loosen the bits of henna and indigo from your head after rinsing.
Your hair will look anything from pukey yellow to pumpkin orange at this stage. It will not have the color it is going to end up as. In fact, it can take up to 2 days for the henna to completely oxidize into the proper shade of reddish brown. So do not fret when your hair looks ugly at first. Natural hair dying is not instant, but it's so much better for you.

don't buy this.
This is the worst hair color product I have ever used. I would not recommend this to anyone. I told my beutician about this product, and I'm sure the salon will be spreading the word. It turned my sclap black, I have black particles falling out of my hair, and did not even color my hair the color it was supposed to. ANd plus the water ran green when the beautician used sampoo to wash my hair with.
