Light Mountain Natural Hair Color and Conditioner Medium Brown -- 4 fl oz
Colored okay but picked grass from hair for a week
I used 3 boxes at once because I have very long hair (past mid back). I mixed and let sit for a while to develop and left in my hair overnight. I rinsed my hair outside with a hose because I couldn't imagine all of that "mud" going down my shower drain. I did further rinsing after applying conditioner in the shower. You are supposed to wait before washing, but even days later after washing I would find small grassy looking pieces in my hair.
I think I need to have a finer sifted henna the next time I use it. I do plan on using a henna blend again, but it needs to have a finer sift and no grass! Plus I didn't pay attention that this does not cover grays which I need for the front of my hairline.

I have been having my hair chemically treated in a salon for many years. Over the past 6 months my stylist switched to an organic product with less chemicals. Last week I used the medium brown for the first time. I was very apprehensive about using the henna since I did not want primary red hair or stained skin. I was very pleased with the results. My hair has been light to medium brown with honey highlights. The henna turned my grey blond and the rest of my chemically treated hair dark brown to medium brown red. There is much more shine and depth to my hair than when I had it treated professionally with the "organic line" that still had chemicals. My scalp did not burn and I did not have sore patches either when using the henna. My hair is very smooth, soft and shinny. The henna even helped with reducing my frizz. The product is messy and your hair will smell like fresh cut lawn clippings that have been sitting in the sun for 3 days. I did use my own gloves which I recommend and I poured the cured mixture on my head in the sink over a plastic bowl. I let it cure for 1 1/2 hours with the lemon to water mixture. It stayed on my hair for 1 hour. Before placing it on my hair I used a natural "vaseline" product around my ears and hair. The henna did drip down my ears and to my chin. Fortunately nothing stained my skin, not even my scalp. I will be using this again but I will try the light brown shade in 3 weeks. I am very happy with the results.

Great lasting color
This is very messy, but well worth the time and mess! I am pleased with the rich, long lasting color and the fact that it is non-chemical.

I really like this henna color.
I was using light brown which was a perfect match for my natural hair color.
This added gave me a browner & slightly reddish tone to my hair. I got tons of compliments.
The 2nd time I used this med. brown still looked good, but my hair looked darker and didn't have the reddish tone to it. I wish it had.
This brand henna color makes my hair feel thicker and look healthier. It's a task to apply, but well worth it. I just recently tried a different brand/method which was easier to use, but this product gave me better results, so I'm back to using "Light Mountain"!
