This long grain rice is lightly milled to retain 66% of its wholesome bran layer. Elusively aromatic of cinnamon and cloves, it cooks in only 20 minutes producing tender separate grains. A great alternative to basmati - transforms any rice dish into a special meal.
Combine 1-3/4 cups water, 1 cup rice and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over High heat. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand covered for a few minutes. Fluff & serve. A rice cooker may be used with the same water-to-rice ratio. 1 cup raw rice yields 3 cups cooked rice.
