McCann's Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal -- 28 oz
Quality Product Quickly Delivered
What can be said about steel cut oats. I prefer rolled, but my wife insists upon steel cut. These live up to their claims, they cook up after quite a time to be a grainy gruel that she likes. I can tolerate it, and so I do - when she is happy, my life is always better.
The containers are not like yesteryear's, they are easily dented but I find a use for the old canisters in the garage and on the workbench. Nutritionally the oatmeal is top-notch, the can is functional, and my wife is pleased with my joy in eating oatmeal again. It really tastes as good as rolled oats, it just has that grainy texture - but don't tell her that I don't like the texture!
Great price, fast shipping, cans are easily opened but keep the oatmeal fresh. Who could ask for more?

My husband and me were referred to use this product by our physician as a breakfast choice because of its quality and are very satisfied with it.

I eat this every morning. I love it. I use the short cut method on the can. It works great.

Can you say chaff?
I have been averaging 5-6 pieces of chaff per bowlful. Having to stop chewing and pick out or spit out a piece of fingernail-like chaff is not appetizing.

THE BEST EVER OATMEAL
My husband and I started eating McCann's Steel Cut Oatmeal nearly two years ago, and once we started eating it NOTHING gets our day going better than a hot bowl of Irish Steel Cut Oats. We have tried other brands, but this is by far the tops. It stays with you, and you don't have that mid-morning slump that you get from a high carb breakfast. Only problem is, it is very hard to find in the grocery stores, and when you do find it the price is considerably more than the Vitacost site. We love McCann's SCIO and would not be without it.
