Mediterranean Organic Pitted Kalamata Olives -- 8.1 oz
I bought these to place on Greek salads. They were kind of mushy and have a funky flavor. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or if they are always like that. Not sure I would buy them again to find out though.

They Should Be Part of Your Mediterranean Diet
These olives do not taste like the olives that come from a Greek food store, or like the olives my grandmother would pack into a jar with brine and set aside for a few months, but they certainly are the next best thing! We like them because they are organic, free of chemcial preservatives - preserved naturally with only with sea salt and red wine vinegar - and taste meaty and fresh.
What to do with Mediterranean Organic Kalamata olives? Well, since they are pitted, anything! Add them chopped to scrambled eggs (don't forget the organic feta cheese and scallions), to your homemade foccacia, to your organic fresh greens salad, to your warm mashed potato and chive side dish, your organic tabouli salad - and any other recipe where you want to add a little Greek to your palate. Some people will find that the taste of Kalamata olives really bursts when the olives are eaten warmed or cooked/warmed. And remember, Kalamata olives are a good source of vitamin E and monosaturated fats.

I eat these right out of the jar sometimes when I want a snack that isn't sweet. I also use them in my salad and in a spinach dish I make.

Not to my taste
I didn't care for these at all. I prefer olives in their natural state not with wine and vinegar.

This is a great product
These olives are tasty and healthy. I confess I sometimes eat them right out of the jar. Organic Kalamata Olives are a staple for me and a deeeelicious snack. Yummy. Good price with Vitacost, as always.
