You will need:
1 Packet Coating Mix
Approximately ½ cup liquid (water, milk, slightly beaten egg, buttermilk or ranch dressing)
3 to 3½ lbs whole chicken, cut up 4-6 pork chops
1 to 1½ lbs fish, tofu, veggies or boneless meat
Before you begin:
Choose Cooking Method
For Baking: Preheat oven to 400 F. Generously spray or grease baking pan.
For Frying: Preheat non-stick skillet to medium heat.
For Combination: Preheat oven to 375 F. Generously spray or grease baking pan. Preheat oven proof skillet to medium high.
Baking Guide
Recommended for bone-in or very thick meats. Lowest fat method.
Place coated pieces in prepared pan, spray top and sides generously with cooking spray. Bake as directed below.
Bone-In Chicken Pcs: 20-30 minutes
Pork Chops: 20-30 minutes
Boneless Chicken: 12-18 minutes
Fish Fillets: 10-18 minutes
Vegetables: 10-20 minutes
Tofu: 8-12 minutes
Frying Guide
Recommended for boneless meats, fish, tofu or vegetables
Generously cover the bottom of the preheated pan with oil. Allow oil to get hot. Place coated pieces in pan; brown on both sides. You may need to reduce heat once pieces have browned to ensure they cook through. Turn as necessary and fry until done.
Boneless Chicken: 12-18 minutes
Fish Fillets: 8-15 minutes
Vegetables: 5-12 minutes
Tofu: 5-10 minutes
Chicken Pieces: 15-25 minutes
Pork Chops: 12-20 minutes
Combination Guide
Recommended for bone-in chicken or port and very thick or starchy vegetables.
Generously cover the bottom of the preheated pan with oil or cooking spray. Allow oil to get hot. Place coated pieces in pan; brown on both sides. Transfer over proof skillet to oven and bake accordingly.
Bone-in Chicken Pcs: 10-20 minutes
Pork Chops: 10-20 minutes
Vegetables: 6-15 minutes
Boneless Chicken: 6-12 minutes
Fish Fillets: 6-12 minutes
Tofu: 6-10 minutes
Cooking times are approximate and may vary depending on thickness and type of meat, fish or vegetables. Chicken is done at an internal temperature of 180 F and pork at 165 F. Fish is done when it flakes with a fork.
