DHEA without toxic STEARATES? HOW NICE!
I recently ran out of this phenomenal product and made the grave mistake of purchasing another proposed "high-quality" brand at my local drugstore. I am on a carefully prescribed regimen of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and am learning a TON from my MD about the effects of toxic ingredients, like stearates, on absorption and liver function. Yet magnesium stearate is so common in numerous supplements! Not only do they interfere with absorption (which explains why my thyroid symptoms returned) but they are known toxins. I'm so glad that Nature's Plus GETS that! If you need magnesium, go for magnesium citrate and by all means, read those labels! You will be astonished at where you will find stearates lurking. Even in skin care products.

"pharmaceutical grade DHEA" on label
I actually communicated with the company and challenged them that there were articles written that said the DHEA in health food stores was not as advertised. They responded by starting to include an independent lab analysis insert in each bottle.
The Bioperine makes the DHEA more bioavailable. I have been using this product for several years and I find it does the job. Other brands I have tried had undesirable side effects.
So I stay with this product.
